Hand clamps and glue clamps for firm fixing

A hand clamp holds your workpiece firmly in place, so you can keep working with both hands while gluing, sawing, drilling and assembling. The right type depends on the job: one-handed clamps lock and release in an instant with a squeeze, while glue clamps and screw clamps deliver a much higher clamping force for joints that have to close tightly.

For larger structures, body clamps and door clamps provide the necessary reach and rigidity. When choosing, look at the clamping width and the throat depth: common clamps work around 120 mm, while versions up to 300 mm or even 600 mm span larger sections. A good clamp spreads the pressure evenly and does not mark the surface, thanks to protective caps on the jaws.

Brands such as Bessey, Bahco, Facom and Gedore offer clamps for fine assembly work up to heavy workshop use. Keep several sizes ready, so you always have the right clamping force, reach and grip on hand for every workpiece.
